About Foundation For Living

Rev. Larry Phillips Senior Pastor Midway Baptist Church Mount Airy, NC
If you’ve ever read Ecclesiastes you’ll find a man who had become skeptical and disllusioned with life. His frustration and eventual despair lead him to concluded that life was meaninglessness. His actual words after chasing the wind, “So I hated life.”
Perhaps like Solomon you have come to the same conclusion. It’s not uncommon to meet people who are searching for the meaning of life. What value or purpose is there, what’s does it all mean, is this all there is?
Like Solomon we are in the process of building our lives upon something or someone! The choices we have are many and the consequences real. Solomon’s life illustrates the meaninglessness of life when we attempt to live it apart from God.
Only in a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ, can we experience the deep significance and meaning of life. In Christ we find the one sure foundation for living.
So regardless of where your at on your spiritual journey, my passion is to encourage you to build your life upon that foundation found in Christ.
Life can change in a moment, but there are principles which remain steadfast in the challenges we all face. Principles which provide both you and the generation walking behind you a foundation for living.

Very nice.
I could tell you similiar story.
I don‘t know If I said it already but …Hey good stuff…keep up the good work!
I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks,)

Larry,
It never seems to amaze me that I find new people in familiar places everyday. I see you are the Pastor at Midway Baptist Church; I was married there in 1981 by Pastor Lee Meadows. I have not run into you or I would have known you were there. I like your site and will come back to visit often.
